Urban Beatdown is not to be taken seriously. It is to be taken very seriously. It is a how-to in domination. It is putting friends into joint locks in bars and bedrooms around the world because you can. Seriously though, don’t kill anyone. Not cool.

Hello!

We are working with Lionsgate films on the new Jackie Chan/Jet Li release The Forbidden Kingdom.

This is the first time these two legends will be both appearing on the big screen together and the film has been a massive smash in the states and China, hitting the number one spot in each territory.

To celebrate its release in the UK, we have set up a you tube channel where we want people in the UK to send us videos of their best martial arts moves like Jackie Chan and Jet Li - http://www.youtube.com/forbiddenkingdomcomp

We want a mix of some genuinely great moves but then also funny ones as well - if you check out the ones on the site now there are few tongue in cheek vids on there! The competition began yesterday, so we want as many videos as possible.

The rules are simple - the video with the most views wins! The idea is that people put their video up and then get their friends to vote for them. The top prizes are Ipod Touches and there are 5 to give away, but we may also be able to get hold of some signed Jackie Chan/Jet Li merchandise.

It would be fantastic if you could let your members know about the comp, and even enter a video yourself - we want to see some great martial arts moves!

Please give me a shout if you need any more info.

Thanks

Alexandra

Hey Urbanbeatdown

You have a really original and funny site. That’s why I think you’ll like this Steven Seagal interview we did in 1997. We are the Shambhala Sun, a Buddhist community and magazine. Check out the interview and let me know if you’d like to reprint it with a link to our site!

Gratefully,
Bobby

Greetings from the Columbus Combat Academy. Love your stuff! Just thought we’d drop by and say hello. If you are ever in Ohio, look us up and we can trade bruises.
